This week in La Liga, Barcelona and Real Madrid experienced very different

Barcelona and Celta Vigo produced a thrilling six-goal showdown. Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring from the spot in the 10th minute, but Celta hit back instantly through Carreira. Lewandowski restored Barça’s lead in the 37th, only for Iglesias to equalize again before halftime. Just when it seemed the half would end level, Lamine Yamal struck in stoppage time to make it 3-2.

In the second half, Lewandowski completed his hat-trick in the 73rd — a statement win that strengthened Barcelona’s place in the La Liga race.

Meanwhile, at the Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Rayo Vallecano. Despite relentless attacks from Jude Bellingham and Vinícius Jr., Rayo’s defense and goalkeeper stood firm. Valverde came close late on, but Real had to settle for a single point — a result that slightly dents their lead at the top, while Barcelona climb closer with momentum on their side.
